Uttar Pradesh sees recovered cases more than positive cases in 24 hrs

Lucknow, 05 May: There is relief news coming from Uttar Pradesh that new cases of coronavirus are witnessing slight fall now. At the same time, the number of people recovering from Covid-19 is increasing day by day. In the last 24 hours, 31,165 new cases have come up, while 40,852 people have recovered. The Yogi government has adopted aggressive testing policy in the state.

On Wednesday, Team-09 officials told Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that 2, 32,038 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, of which 1,13,000 tests have been conducted only through RTPCR. So far, 4, 20, 32,500 tests have been conducted in the state. This is the most coveted test done by any state in the country.

According to officials, so far 51,284 citizens in the age group of 18-44 have been given the first dose of vaccination. Vaccination process for people above 45 years of age is progressing smoothly. At present 1, 30, 90,985 dose administrators have been conducted.

Chief Minister Yogi said that special efforts should be made to minimize vaccine waste. Global tender has also been issued for vaccination of people in the age group of 18-44. Complaints have been received. In some places, there has also been talk of recovery of more than the fixed rate of duty.

Yogi said that the deployment of the Sector Magistrate has been done only to improve such arrangements. He said that the sector magistrate should also keep visiting outside hospitals, provide any kind of need to any patient and family.

Mass testing campaign started in 97000 revenue villages

Yogi said that from today the state government is starting a massive testing campaign in all 97000 revenue villages. Through monitoring committees, door-to-door screening will be done, temperature and oxygen levels will be checked and the symptomatic person will be subjected to antigen test by Rapid Response team (RRT).

“Patients with home isolation should be given medical kit and information to be kept vigilant. They should be admitted for treatment in quarantine or higher medical center as required. Health Department should increase the number of RRT team. This campaign will be very helpful in breaking the chain of Covid infection,” concluded CM.
