Out of 27 new cases, 21 are related to Tablighi Jamaat

Number of corona infected patients has reached to 305 in the state

Lucknow, April 06: Due to the followers of Tablighi Jamaat in the state, the hope of opening the lockdown after April 14 has come as a shock as the Yogi government looks in no hurry to lift the lockdown, said Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi in a press conference held at Lok Bhavan on Monday.

ACS, Home informed that the number of patients infected with the coronavirus has reached 305 on Monday in the state. Of the 27 new cases reported in the last twenty four hours, 21 are related to the Jamaat.

The number of infected people of Tabligi Jamaat has now increased to 159 in the state out of 305. In such a situation, the state government can continue the lockdown at its level even after April 14, due to increasing cases of corona virus every day, told Awasthi.  

According to the instructions of the Central Government, the lockdown has been declared in the entire country till 14 April for 21-day for the prevention and containment of the dreaded COVID-19 on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish K. Awasthi said in a press meet at Lok Bhavan on Monday that the situation has become very sensitive due to Jamaatis. This is a matter of great concern. The people of the Jamaat who attended the Delhi program in Nizamuddin Markaz are also being investigated. In such a situation, if a single case occurs, the situation can be very bad by opening the lockdown. Therefore, the government has not yet decided to open the lockdown after April 14. Given the situation, the probability of opening a lockdown is low.

27 new cases appeared in these districts

In the state, 02 cases have been reported in Agra, 05 in Lucknow, 03 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 01 in Kanpur, 05 in Shamli, 01 in Kaushambi, 01 in Bijnor, 08 in Sitapur and 01 in Prayagraj.

Among these, the cases of Lucknow, Kanpur, Shamli, Bijnor, Sitapur and Prayagraj are related to Tablighi Jamaat.

The total number of Jamaat patients is 159, the probability of increasing in corona cases

Of the total cases of Jamaat, 29 are mainly in Agra, 12 in Lucknow, 14 in Ghaziabad, 03 in Lakhimpur Kheri, 07 in Kanpur, 04 in Varanasi, 13 in Shamli, 02 in Jaunpur, 01 in Baghpat, 13 in Meerut, 03 in Hapur, 05 in Ghazipur, 03 in Azamgarh, 01 in Hardoi, 03 in Pratapgarh, 13 in Saharanpur, 01 in Shahjahanpur, 02 in Banda, 06 in Maharajganj, 04 in Hathras, 02 in Mirzapur, 02 in Rae Bareli, Auraiya. 01, Barabanki 01, Bijnor 01, Sitapur  08 cases, 01 in Pryaragaj.

Additional Chief Secretary, Home apprised that in these conditions, we are the first to see 159 corona infected cases of Jamaatis. Later, in the second phase, those who were associated with Jamaatis, accompanied them in Jamaat meeting in Delhi are to be dealt with.

After this, we are tracing β€˜C’ category people who came in contact with ‘B’ category. In such a situation whether the lockdown will open or not, it cannot be said right now, because the sensitivity of the state has increased now.
