Lucknow, April 08: The Yogi government has identified a total of 104 sensitive locations (hotspots where corona cases are more than 6) in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh for effective curbing due to spike in the cases of novel coronavirus pandemic, informed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi in a press conference held at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.

Awasthi said that these hotspots are in 81 police stations and no relaxation during a complete seal will be given in these marked hot spots. Any type of movement is completely banned. The government will provide all the essential commodities to the houses. On the other hand, enforcement of lockdown will continue in other districts.

Agra has the highest number of 22 hot spots

Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Kumar Awasthi on Wednesday said that 22 hotspots in 12 police stations of Agra, 08 big and 4 small hotspots in 11 police stations in Lucknow, 11 hotspots in 13 police stations in Ghaziabad, 13 hotspots in 12 police stations in Gautam Buddha Nagar , 12 in 10 Police Stations of Kanpur Nagar, 04 in 04 Police Stations of Varanasi, 03 in 03 Police Stations of Shamli, 07 in 08 Police Stations of Meerut, 01 in 01 Police Stations of Bareilly, 03 in 03 Police Stations of Bulandshahar, 03 in 02 Police Stations of Basti, 03 hotspots in 01 Police Station in Firozabad, 04 locations in 02 police stations Maharajganj,  01 hotspot in 01 police station in Sitapur.

Hotspots areas will have door-to-door management

He said that the Chief Minister directed that strict arrangements should be made by marking hotspots in 15 districts where more than 6 cases have been found. Door-to-door management will be done in these hot spots and the entire area will be monitored through house-to-house monitoring.

“Video conferencing has been done with senior officials of these 15 districts. 100 percent lockdown will have to be followed by special public assistance in the hot spots of these 15 districts. Small concession will not be a given. Apart from the hot spots of these 15 districts, the lockdown process which is still in place at other places will remain in force. No one needs to be upset and get panic,” appraised ACS Home.

Fire brigade vehicles will spray sodium hypochlorite

He said that today new fire brigades vehicles have been sent in every district. These fire brigades will sanitize with sodium hypochlorite. Police Response Vehicle (PRV) of UP 112 will be specially kept in these areas where 100 percent lockdown has been put in place. Specifically, information will be given using loudspeakers, police drones will also be used if needed.

“Banks and ration shops in these areas will not be opened till April 15 at present. Media will also not be allowed in these areas. If needed, some official photographers will be able to go so that the movement of people can be limited in these areas. In the interest of the health of the citizens and their families, this system will remain in force in the interest of these areas till the morning of the April 15.

COVID-19 passes will also be cancelled

Director General of Police (DGP) Hitesh Chandra Awasthi said that sanitation work will be improved at the hotspots of the 15 worst affected with COVID-19 districts of UP.

“Extensive sanitation work is being done by placing fire tender vehicles there. Implementing a hundred percent lockdown means that those passes issued to civilians have also been terminated during this period. Door to door service of necessary items and medicines will be made available in these areas,” told DGP.

He further said that three arrangements have been made, enhanced sanitation, doorstep supply and barricading of the area so that the possibility of spreading any kind of infection become less.

These 15 districts are

The 15 districts whose areas have been decided to be completely sealed include Agra, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Shamli, Meerut, Bareilly, Bulandshahar, Basti, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Maharajganj and Sitapur. The most cases of outbreak of coronavirus infection were coming from these districts.
