Lucknow, October 5: A 22-year-old boy riding a motorcycle was crushed by a roadways bus on the Lucknow-Hardoi road in the Dubagga police station area of โโLucknow district, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday morning. The young man died in the accident.
After the incident, the driver and conductor left the bus and ran away. After receiving information, the police reached the spot, took the bus into custody and started further action.
Dubagga police station in-charge Abhinav Kumar Verma said that on Sunday, a roadways bus (UP 78 FN 1750) hit a motorcycle near the fish market on the Lucknow-Hardoi road. The young man riding the motorcycle died on the spot in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Sujit Kumar (22), a resident of Saidpur Jagnikheda in the Mal police station area.
The deceased’s elder brother, Shravan Kumar, said that his brother Sujit worked as a security guard in Alambagh. Today, after his duty was over, he was on his way home when he died in a road accident.
The station in-charge stated that a case has been registered based on a complaint from the deceased’s family. The bus has been seized and the absconding driver is being searched for.
