Plot of terror attack in different parts of the country foiled.
Terrorists were attacked in the events of Hindu organization of Lucknow.
Lucknow, 16 February: On the auspicious day of Basant Panchami, the UP Special Task Force (STF) thwarted the conspiracy of simultaneous terrorist attack in different parts of the country including the capital Lucknow.
The STF on Tuesday arrested the military commander and his accomplice of the terrorist organization Popular Front of India (PFI). A large quantity of explosive material has been recovered from them. The target of these people was many leaders of the RSS and the BJP.
Additional Director General (ADG) Law & Order Prashant Kumar told that the arrested PFI commander has been identified as Ansad Badruddin, resident of Pathanamthitta Nasima Manzil Mudiyar and his partner Feroz Khan, both of them from Kerala. 16 explosive devices, one pistol, seven cartridges, two pen drives, 12 railway tickets, PAN card, ATM, DL, Aadhar card have been recovered from their possession.
During an interrogation, the terrorists informed that to spread their ideology, youths of particular community who are physically strong are included in their gangs after their brainwash. They are trained in various weapons and sent to any corner of the country to carry out terrorist incidents.
The ADG of the STF said that for a long time, information was being received that some members of the PFI are working against the government of the country by creating terrorist gangs under the mission. At the same time, they are planning to carry out serial bomb blasts at several important and highly secured public places in Uttar Pradesh and an attack on big leaders of prominent Hindu organizations. After this, the STF team launched a manhunt to arrest such people.
Meanwhile, the STF came to know that two members of the PFI in the capital are at the Kukrail picnic spot here and are going to carry out bombings in various programs of Hindu organizations on Basant Panchami. After this, the STF arrested both of them.
The ADG said that other members involved in the gang of the accused are being questioned.
