UP tops Covid-19 testing chart in country

Lucknow, 18 February: There have been 81 new cases of novel coronavirus infection across the state in the last twenty four hours. During this period, 181 patients were discharged after getting treatment.

The number of people recovering from new patients remains constant. Due to this, the recovery of Covid-19 in the state is more than 98.12 percent. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh has now become the first state in the country to conduct more than three crore corona tests.

Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Thursday that the number of active cases in the state has now come down to 2,587.

He said that out of total active cases, 692 people are in home isolation. 211 people are undergoing treatment in private hospitals. In addition, patients are undergoing treatment in government hospitals of L-2 and L-3.

A total of 1, 20,384 samples were investigated in the state on a single day yesterday. At the same time, a total of 3, 00, 37,025 samples have been investigated.

He informed that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to conduct more than three crore corona tests. So far, 5, 91,194 people have recovered and discharged from Covid-19 in the state.

He informed that 4561 people and so far a total of 5, 26,536 people took medical advice in twenty four hours through e-Sanjeevani in the state. A population of 15,28,02,203 of 3,14,65,852 households has been surveyed through 5,11,484 team days in 1,85,324 areas through surveillance teams in the state.

UP Leading state with more than 10 lakh health workers – Front line personnel vaccinations

Prasad told that today the vaccine shot is being given to the frontline personnel. Providing health workers another chance, the work of applying jab will be done tomorrow, February 19. At the same time, on February 22, the work of vaccine will be done to the frontline personnel.

He informed that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to undertake vaccination of more than 10 lakh health workers and front line workers.

He apprised that through the ‘Mera Covid Kendra’ app, the user can get the information of Covid-19 Testing Center located in a radius of 05 km and the result of the investigation can be known through the smart phone on the DGMHUP website.
