Lucknow, 26 January: On the occasion of 71st Republic Day, Director General of Police (DGP), Uttra Pradesh Omprakash Singh hoisted the tricolor at the police headquarters of Uttar Pradesh. During this time, the DGP honored the policemen who did excellent work and remained honest about their work.

DGP OP Singh, hoisted the tricolor amidst dense fog. After this, the police personnel present there after singing the National Anthem, rendered their salute to National Flag.

During this, the DGP, while addressing the police personnel, congratulated everyone on the completion of 70 years of the Indian Republic.

β€œWe have got this day with the sacrifice of millions of martyrs, freedom fighters, UP Police has served the nation for the last 73 years and every year there are some achievements in public service. Today we take an oath from all of us on this national festival that we will carry out our duties honestly to serve the nation,” Singh stated.

 After this, the DGP awarded DG Sujanveer Singh, ADG KS Pratap Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Srischand along with 274 police personnel were awarded with the Director General of Police Commendation Silver.

During this period, six officers of UP Police were awarded President’s Medal for distinguished service, 72 for Meritorious Service, 45 for Meritorious Service Award, 200 for Meritorious Service Award, 29 for Diamond, 96 for Gold, 360 for Silver for Commendation. Have been provided.

Tricolour hoisted at Lucknow Police Line

Police Commissioner Sujeet Pandey hoisted the National Flag  for the first time at the Reserve Police Line in Lucknow on Sunday on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day.

During this time, the Police Commissioner distributed sweets to the children of Police Modern School, rewarding the policemen who did excellent work and remained honest about their work. The Police Commissioner was made aware of the glorious history of India, and the oath was given to all the policemen present that they would maintain the unity and integrity of the country by doing their work in full and honest manner.

Police of all districts celebrated Republic Day

Apart from the capital Lucknow, Kanpur, Unnao, Mathura, Agra, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Sitapur, Barabanki, Fatehpur, Gorakhpur and all police offices and police lines of Uttar Pradesh, police station, police station, police post, hoisted the tricolor .
