UP: Over 1.67 lakh people vaccinated against Covid-19 in Bundelkhand

Jhansi, August 05: In a one-day inoculation drive, 105 percent vaccination was successful in Jhansi and Chitrakoot divisions of Bundelkhand. In relation to 1, 57, 700, 1, 67, 115 people got vaccinated. The Additional Director Health of both the divisions has appreciated the efforts of all the District Magistrates (DMs) and Chief Medical Officers (CMOโ€™s).

To save people from Covid-19, vaccination was started in the state from January 16 this year. Initially, there were some misconceptions among the people regarding this, but due to the continuous efforts of the State Government and the Health Department, now awareness has come among the people. Young people are passionate about vaccination. Its hallmark is the vaccination done on August 3 in all the seven districts of Bundelkhand.

Jhansi Divisional Additional Director Health Dr Alpana Bartaria informed that maximum number of vaccines was administered in Jalaun district. Here 26 thousand, 808 i.e. 111.7 percent people were immunized against 24 thousand. The maximum target of 30 thousand was set in Jhansi district, against this, 26 thousand, 139 people got the vaccines done here whereas in Lalitpur, 20, 990 i.e. about 105 percent people got vaccinated against the target of 20 thousand.

On the other hand, Additional Director of Health, Chitrakoot Dham, Dr RB Gautam said that maximum number of vaccines were administered in Mahoba district. Here 21, 986 i.e. 122 percent people were immunized against 18000. A target of 21, 700 were set in Chitrakoot district. In comparison, 24, 640 people got the vaccines.

Similarly, against the target of 20000 in Hamirpur, 21, 513 i.e. 107 percent and in Banda district 25, 39 people got vaccinated against the target of 24000, which was 104 percent of the target.
