UP: Omicron cases jump to 113 in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, 09 January: Coronavirus infection is soaring continuously across Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the number of patients infected with the new strain of Covid-19, Omicron, is also on the rise. The number of Omicron patients has increased to 113 in the state. At the same time, six people have been cured of Omicron so far.

Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that the work of Covid vaccination is going on continuously in the state. So far, 17, 16,491 first doses of vaccine have been given to 15 to 18 year olds. So far, a total of 21, 05, 90,510 doses have been given in the state. Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to inject more than 21 crore doses.

Prasad also cautioned that do not believe or be afraid of any kind of misleading news related to Covid. Everyone must get their Kovid vaccination done. Those who have taken the first dose, they must also take their second dose on time. The need for hospitalization is becoming negligible just by getting the Covid vaccines.
