UP: Nodal officers for nominated districts to monitor development works

Lucknow, 03rd September: Detailed guidelines have been issued by the state government to the nodal officers of all the nominated districts for effective monitoring and on-site inspection of the priorities and development works of the government.

Giving the above information, Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari said that senior administrative officers have been nominated as nodal officers of each district to ensure effective monitoring and on-site inspection of the government’s priorities and development works and effective redressal of public grievances.

He said that the nodal officers should visit their allotted district for four days and review the rescue and relief works for effective control of dengue and malaria, floods and heavy rains. Complete sanitation in the village, regular anti-larva spray and fogging in the village, disposal of water logging situation, cleaning of bushes in populated areas, drinking water system, regular cleaning of streets, drains, main roads of each ward of the body Review of status of action plan for door-to-door garbage collection and sanitization and fogging status, regular checking of leakages in pure drinking water pipeline – status of repair and chlorination, status of distribution of regular chlorine tablets of drinking water samples do

The Chief Secretary also informed that the nodal officers would review the cleanliness of the premises and toilets of basic and secondary schools in the state, and review of pure drinking water in the schools would also be done. He said that all the nodal officers must reach their allotted district by the evening of 3rd September, 2021 and leave their headquarters on 7th September, 2021 after conducting four days review and on-site inspection in their allotted district.

The report of the review done by the nodal officers in the districts will be sent on the e-mail id of the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, Revenue Department, Panchayati Raj Department and Urban Development Department and the report of the development works and on-site inspection, program implementation will be uploaded in 5 sections on the website of the department.

He has directed all the Divisional Commissioners, Inspector General of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Gautam Buddha Nagar, all District Magistrates, Senior Superintendents of Police and Superintendents of Police to ensure strict compliance of the above instructions.
