Mahoba, 18 July: According to authorities, a guy inebriatedly bludgeoned to death his wife and two little kids here on Tuesday. The event occurred on Monday night in the Samad Nagar neighbourhood of here, and the victims have been named as Rajkumari (30), Ayushi (9) and Sonakshi (6).
When accused Devendra Vishwakarma arrived home drunk, he had an altercation with his wife. He assaulted her with a brick in a fit of fury, killing Rajkumari on the spot, according to Mahoba Superintendent of Police (SP) Aparna Gupta.
The two daughters who came to help their mother were also bludgeoned to death by their father with the brick, according to the SP, who added that the accused afterwards left the scene.
Gupta added that after registering a case based on Devendra’s father’s allegation, the culprit was apprehended near the Railway subterranean bridge later that night. The post-mortem examination has been completed, and more investigations are underway.
The perpetrator, identified as Devendra Vishwakarma, was renowned for his drug and alcohol addiction. He would frequently indulge in physical aggression with his wife over small concerns, continually causing family strife.
Even little faults, such as a lack of salt, burned roti, or veggies with too much water, would spark passionate debate between the pair. Unfortunately, the fatal night occurred when Devendra’s father, Thakurdeen, and mother were not at home. During a violent fight between the couple, Devendra ruthlessly slaughtered his own family.
