UP: Economic activities picking up in Uttar Pradesh, Govt earns Rs 10903.87 crores in November

Lucknow, 03 December: The economic activities affected due to the outbreak of coronavirus infection across the state are again catching their pace.

Continuation of better economic activities in the month of July, August, September, and October is also continued in November 2020.

State Finance, Parliamentary Affairs and Medical Education Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said in a press conference on Thursday that in the main tax-non-tax revenue items, the total revenue of Rs 10,903.87 crore was collected in the month of November of the financial year 2020-21, while 2019-20 In the month of November, revenue of 10,557.90 crore was received.

โ€œThus, in the month of November 2020, 345.97 crore more revenue has been received in the important items of non-tax revenue compared to the same month last year,โ€ he added.

He informed that in the month of November of the financial year 2020-21, a total revenue of 3712.69 crore has been received under GST. The receipt for the month of November 2020 under VAT is 2147.54 crores. The VAT item receipts in November 2019 were 1765.95 crores. Thus, there has been an increase of 381.59 crores in this item as compared to this period of the previous year. In the month of November of the financial year 2020-21, a total revenue of 2464.78 crore has been received under the head of excise.

The Minister told further that in the month of November 2019-20, revenue of 2273.85 crores was received. There has been an increase of 190.93 crores in this item. The receipt for the month of November 2020 under the stamp and registration is 1628 crores. In the month of November 2019, the receipts for this item were 1421.37 crores.

โ€œThus there has been an increase of 206.63 crores in the items of stamps and registration. He said that in the month of November 2020, revenue of 253.15 crores has been received in the main items of non-tax revenue and in the month of November, 2020. The receipts for this item were 190.19 crores in November 2019,โ€ Khanna apprised.  

Currently 1.43% mortality is lower than the national average

The Finance Minister said that the death rate of Covid-19 in the state is decreasing and the recovery rate is continuously increasing. The present death rate in the state is 1.43 percent, which is less than the national average of 1.45 percent. Currently, Covid-19 has a positivity rate of 03 percent in the state.

He informed that presently the recovery rate in the state has increased to 94.38 percent, which is the highest compared to other states.
