UP (crime): SOG lifts 4 accused from court gate in triple murder case

Farrukhabad, 09 May: Due to the buliding pressure of the police in Amritpur’s Piyush murder case, on Monday, the Special Operations Group (SOG) team lifted the four accused who trying to surrender in the court from the court gate. During this an attempt was made to attack the SOG team.

Piyush, the 23-year-old son of Dinesh Awasthi, a resident of Amritpur town, was shot dead.

After which, on the complaint of Anubhav Awasthi, brother of the deceased Piyush, the police arrested Rambabu, Arun, Vipin, Vinod son Rajendra, Ankit, Anmol son Rambabu, Preeti wife Arun, Seema wife Rambabu, Alka wife Vipin, Muskaan daughter Rambabu, Akshat son Arun and two a case was filed against three unknowns.

Even after three days of the incident, the stance of the SP became strict as there was no trace of the accused. After which Balraj Bhati, in-charge of the SOG team, laid siege to the accused at the court gate. The accused were on their way to surrender in the court. After which the SOG surrounded them at the gate of the court.

According to the information received from the sources, while apprehending the accused, an attempt was also made to push the team, but the helpers of the accused failed in freeing the accused from the SOG team.

It is learned that the SOG arrested the accused Rambabu, Vipin, Vinod and Ankit from the court gate and taken to the police line.

The SOG team in-charge Balraj Bhati told that some people have been caught and now being interrogated.

It is worth mentioning that on May 7; the accused took away Piyush after shooting Piyush’s mother and father. They first shot Piyush by tying his hands and feet and then killed him by beheading him.

After this incident, when the police started building pressure to arrest the culprits, they tried to surrender in the court on Monday.

Meanwhile, the SOG team got to know about it. The in-charge of the team along with other policemen hid at the court gate. As soon as the accused reached there, the team nabbed the four accused.
