UP: Covid-19 vaccination figure crosses over 6 crores in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, August 27: In Uttar Pradesh, the number of Covid immunisation has crossed 6 crore 68 lakh 47 thousand. Last day 7, 41, 523 people got jab cover. So far, more than 05.62 million citizens have received at least one dose of the vaccine to protect against Covid. This is the highest number of vaccinations done in any single state in the country.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was informed by the officials involved in Covid management on Friday that according to the latest status of Covid, active cases are zero in 18 districts of the state. In Aligarh, Baghpat, Banda, Bijnor, Etah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Mahoba, Mau, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Sant Kabirnagar, Shahjahanpur and Unnao, there is not a single COVID patient left today. Today this district is free from covid infection.

They told that in the testing done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 61 districts, whereas only in 14 districts patients were found in unit digit. At present, the total number of active Covid cases in the state is 329. So far 07, 15, 21, 631 Covid samples have been investigated.

Additional Chief Secretary ‘Information’ Navneet Sehgal said that in the last 24 hours, 02 lakh 32 thousand 28 Covid samples were examined and 21 new patients were confirmed. In the same period, 27 patients were healthy and discharged.

β€œSo far, 16 lakh 86 thousand 83 residents of the state have become healthy after getting rid of corona infection. The recovery rate of corona in the state is 98.6 percent. Last day the daily positivity rate was 0.01 percent,” he added.
