UP Board results: Construction of roads for 20 toppers of the state to their houses

Lucknow, June 27: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has announced the construction of paved roads to the homes and schools of top-20 students in high school and intermediate examinations conducted by the UP Secondary Education Council (UP Board).

The name of these roads will be ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Gaurav Path’ and a big board will be put there and full details will be written about the topper students.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya said after the examination results were declared on Saturday that it would boost the morale of the students and the name of their villages and schools would also be illuminated. Also, they will be more motivated to take further education.

He said that paved roads will also be built to the homes of all the top-20 students who succeed in ICSC and CBSE board.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav has also extended his congratulations and best wishes to all the successful candidates of UP Board’s 10th and 12th examination.

Building the morale of unsuccessful students, he said that they should not be disappointed, “Those who try do not lose. Work hard, they will also get success. “

 Significantly, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is also a Minister of Public Works Department (PWD) in the State Government.

In order to encourage and honour talent and education, the PWD has been running the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Gaurav Path scheme under ministerโ€™s direction for the last three years.

Under this, construction and repair work of roads was done with an amount of Rs 7.40 crore to the residences of 24 meritorious students of the year 2017. Roads were constructed at the cost of Rs 23.17 crore till the residence of 89 meritorious students in the year 2018.

Similarly, an amount of 9.89 crores was spent for the construction of roads till the residence of meritorious students of the year 2019.

The UP board announced the results of the session 2020 examination today.

In this, 83.31 percent of high school and 74.63 percent of Inter students were declared passed.

A total of 52 lakh 57 thousand 135 candidates appeared in both examinations of the year 2020.

Among these, 27 lakh 72 thousand 656 candidates were from high school and 24 lakh 84 thousand 479 candidates were from intermediate.

A total of 23 lakh 09 thousand 802 students of the high school and a total of 18 lakh 54 thousand 099 students of the Intermediate have been declared successful.

Anurag Malik of Shriram SM Inter College Baraut, Baghpat got 97% marks and topped in Intermediate.

On the other hand, Riya Jain of Shriram SM Inter College, Baraut, Baghpat has topped the high school examination by securing 96.67 percent marks.
