UP Board 10th and 12th students will get a chance to improve marks – Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, June 13: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to conduct online examination in technical educational institutions on Sunday.

At the same time, a relief decision has also been taken for the students of 10th and 12th board of the Board of Secondary Education. After the decision to cancel the examination, the promoted students have been asked to give an opportunity to improve these marks when the situation becomes normal.

CM Yogi told the departmental officers that no merit should be issued. For this, the officials have been instructed to make the children and parents aware of the detailed rules for preparing the results of the examination.

Chief Minister Yogi was holding a review meeting with the departmental officers in the meeting of Covid Management with Team-09.

He said that the new academic session should be started from the second fortnight of September by releasing the results of higher educational institutions by August 31. The concerned departments should release detailed information about all the rules including the formula for promotion of students and the method of conducting the examination as soon as possible.

He stated that the situation of Covid transmission across the state is under control. The situation is returning to normal, but we have to understand that the virus has weakened, not gone. Everyone should include the practice of covid prevention like masks, sanitization, social distancing in their lifestyle.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Navneet Sehgal told that 464 new cases of corona have been found in Uttar Pradesh in 24 hours.

At the same time, 1221 patients have been cured and discharged. On one hand, there are 08 thousand 986 total active cases in the state and on the other hand the recovery rate has been recorded at 98.2 percent.

He said that in the last 24 hours, 2, 89,943 samples were tested, out of which 1.25 lakh samples were tested through RTPCR. The overall positivity rate was only 0.2 percent, while the recovery rate has gone up to 98.2 percent. Amidst the corona pandemic, 16, 71, 852 residents of the state have become free from Covid infection so far.

Sehgal informed that the Covid vaccination is going on smoothly across the state. Around 46 lakh people have received the vaccine-cover in the last 12 days. In the last 24 hours, more than 04 lakh 58 thousand people including 2 lakh 35 thousand 683 people in the age group of 18 to 44 have taken the vaccine cover. Till now 2, 29, 35, 815 doses have been administered in the state.
