Balrampur, July 19: The grip of the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UP-ATS) is tightening on the gang of Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba, the prime accused of illegal conversion. In this episode, the ATS has arrested two men working for Changur on Saturday.

It has been told by the ATS that the arrested accused have been identified as Shahabuddin and Sabroz, who are residents of Balrampur district. Both were working to incite the poor and helpless people to change their religion for a long time. Both of them are considered very close to Chhangur, who is the mastermind of this entire gang. Their aim was to expand the network by increasing the number by any means.

The Police investigation has revealed that this network was active for a long time in the conspiracy to convert people to a particular religion by force or by luring them. A case has been registered against them in Lucknow ATS police station under Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act.

After arresting both of them in Balrampur, preparations are underway to present them in court and take them on remand. ATS is now preparing to reach other members of this network and the funding source through interrogation.
