Lucknow, 20 September: Over 9 crore 42 lakh vaccines have been administered to the people across Uttar Pradesh. This is the highest number of vaccinations done in any state.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Information Navneet Sehgal said on Monday that so far one crore, 66 lakh people in Uttar Pradesh have taken both doses of the vaccine. In the state, 50 percent people above the age of 18 years have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. The result is that there is not a single active case of corona in 31 districts of the state.
Sehgal further said that no new cases of infection were found in 67 districts in the corona testing conducted last day. At present 194 corona infected are being treated. On an average, two and a half lakh to 2.5 lakh tests are being done each day, while the positivity rate has halved from 0.01 percent and the recovery rate is 98.7 percent. Till now 07 crore, 65 lakh, 27 thousand 746 Covid samples have been tested.
He said that till Monday morning, 17 new patients were confirmed in the testing of one lakh, 82 thousand 742 samples in the last 24 hours. New patients were found only in 08 districts. No new cases were found in double digits anywhere. In the same period, 15 patients were healthy and discharged. So far, 16 lakh, 86 thousand, 599 people have become healthy after getting free from corona infection.
According to the updated status of Corona, there is not a single patient in 31 districts of the state. Corona-free districts include Aligarh, Amroha, Auraiya, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Ballia, Banda, Basti, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Etah and Farrukhabad. Such districts are Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hathras, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Mahoba, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Saharanpur, Shamli, Shravasti and Sultanpur. All these districts are free from corona infection today.
