Lucknow, August 30: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday made a digital transfer of Rs 1,341.17 crore to the accounts of two lakh, 853 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The Chief Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) and PM Svanidhi Yojana.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that every citizen is getting better benefit from the schemes of the government in our government. In the previous governments there were complaints of corruption and money of dishonest poor was wasted. The poor kept watching. Now the Prime Minister has made such a system, so that now the full money of the schemes is reaching the account of every poor. The concept of the Prime Minister is successful that today money is reaching the accounts of the poor directly in their accounts.

Housing for 40 lakh poor in four and a half years: Yogi

Yogi Adityanath said that during the last four and a half years, our government has provided one house each to about 40 lakh poor in rural and urban areas. In the urban area alone, more than 17 lakh, 16 thousand poor have got the benefit of this scheme, out of which eight lakh, 65 thousand houses have been completed so far. It is our endeavour that according to the intention of the Prime Minister, every needy poor should get the benefit of the scheme by 2022.

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi congratulated all the beneficiaries on Shri Krishna Janmashtami and said that this festival has come with new auspicious news in your life. Today, under PMAY-U, an amount of more than one thousand, 341 crores has been distributed in the accounts of two lakh, 853 beneficiaries. The amount that has been distributed is being given in the first, second and third instalments. He said that this is a strong step towards the goal of ‘Ghar for all’.

The Chief Minister said that earlier a Prime Minister of the country had said that if we send Rs 100, then only Rs 15 reaches the account of the poor, that is, Rs 85 was earlier dishonestly grabbed by other people and the poor kept watching. Today’s Prime Minister Modi has made such a system that if 100 rupees is approved for a poor, then the benefit of 100 out of 100 reaches that poor.

Yogi further said that whatever works have been done by urban development and rural development in this government; they have become an example for the whole country. I remember Uttar Pradesh had no place in PM Awas Yojana before 2017. In this case, in 2017 the cities of the state were ranked 23rd and rural areas at 27th. The governments of that time were not interested to provide the benefits of the Government of India’s scheme to the poor of Uttar Pradesh, but today I am happy to tell that after the government came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, the center is either in urban areas or in rural areas.

β€œIn the efforts made to make available the benefits of every scheme of the government to every needy and every poor, Uttar Pradesh has got the best position in the country,” Yogi added.

Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh also got the first place in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Nagar Palika Parishad Mirzapur got the best award in the country. Malihabad Nagar Panchayat has got the first and Hariharpur Panchayat has got the third place among the Nagar Panchayats in the country.

The Chief Minister informed that at present, a program has been started under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Shahari Yojana Award Hundred Country Challenge, that is, from June 21 to September 30 under this scheme. I am sure that Uttar Pradesh will again come first in this scheme. In today’s program, we have sent money to your account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through Public Financial Management System (PFMS). You must have received SMS and you must have seen that most of the people have also said that money has arrived in their account during their conversation with me.

He said that those who are the beneficiaries, the work of geo-tagging 11 lakh, 92 thousand, 929 houses has also been started relative to the approved houses in the individual housing construction component. Out of these, 7 lakh, 46 thousand, 550 houses have been fully covered under the scheme of geo tag.

The Chief Minister said that under the PMAY, every beneficiary who does not have his own house, only land but does not have a house or has a dilapidated house, whose annual income is less than three lakhs, all those beneficiary families will be given this. By connecting them, the benefits of these schemes will be made available to them.

Yogi Adityanath said that today the benefits of government schemes are reaching the village, city, youth, elderly, women and disabled people of the society. Earlier, when checks and cash were distributed, due to corruption, the entire amount could not reach the beneficiary, now in the urban area alone more than 17.16 lakh poor have got the benefit of this scheme.
