Lucknow, April 15: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday flagged off the 1 millionth vehicle at Tata Motors’ Lucknow plant.

Chief Minister described it as more than an industrial achievement, but a decisive step towards establishing the state as a global manufacturing hub.

He said that this 34-year journey is a testament to the “Tata Trust” and Uttar Pradesh’s changing work culture, strong infrastructure, and investment-friendly environment.

In his address, Chief Minister Yogi not only spoke about industrial achievements but also highlighted the fundamental principles of work culture.

He said that the foundation of any group or organization’s success lies in teamwork, gratitude, and honesty. Every employee must perform their duties with complete commitment, as this spirit ensures long-term personal and organizational progress.

Chief Minister categorically stated that avoiding external interference is essential to maintaining the strength of any organization. He cautioned that “there are many who destroy, but very few who build.” Therefore, it is the responsibility of every employee to treat the organization like a family, maintain unity and trust, and foster a positive work culture.

Chief Minister emphasized that gratitude is essential to continue this journey of progress. It is crucial to understand the group that is driving our progress and continuously contributing to the nation’s development. Every employee must perform their duties with teamwork, honesty, and commitment, as this spirit forms the foundation for long-term success. Under no circumstances should outside elements be allowed to interfere in the internal affairs of the group or plant. Referring to the Tata Group’s work culture, he said that the group maintains a family-like relationship with its employees, and it is our responsibility to maintain this family spirit and take the organization forward with strength.

In his address, Chief Minister Yogi said that today is a moment of pride and joy for all of us, as Tata Motors, after completing a glorious journey of 34 years, launched the one millionth bus from its Lucknow plant. This achievement is not just an industrial revolution, but the launchpad for a historic flight that is establishing India, and Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, as a global manufacturing hub. This ‘milestone moment’ symbolizes the flight of a new India and a new Uttar Pradesh, which is not about to stop, but is constantly moving forward with the resolve to reach new heights, bringing development, trust, and prosperity to every person.

Explaining the concept of momentum, the Chief Minister further stated that it is not just a single ‘M’, but a combination of ‘mass’ and ‘velocity’. Where there is mass, momentum is automatically generated, and this momentum provides new energy and strength. In the context of Uttar Pradesh, this ‘mass’ manifests itself in the form of a vast population of 250 million and a 56% young workforce. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the state government is transforming this workforce into a market-ready and industry-ready workforce by connecting it with skills, innovation, and technology, enabling the state to progress at a new pace of development.

Describing ‘V’ (velocity) as a symbol of the double speed of the double-engine government, Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh’s modern infrastructure, improved road network including expressways, and robust connectivity are laying a strong foundation for the manufacturing sector.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that nine years ago, Uttar Pradesh was grappling with an identity crisis, poor connectivity, and security challenges. It was difficult to distinguish between a road and a pothole, and investors were hesitant to come. But under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state has found a new direction, where improved law and order and modern infrastructure have laid a strong foundation for development. The state is now becoming an attractive hub for investment and production, giving a new direction to industrial progress.

Yogi stated that the state currently boasts approximately 55% of the country’s total expressways. The Ganga Expressway is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister this month. Following this, Uttar Pradesh’s share of expressways will reach 60%. A network of four-lane and two-lane connectivity has been established up to the district level. Air connectivity has also seen historic improvements. Previously, only two airports were operational, but now 16 airports are operational, and a world-class project like the Noida International Airport is underway. These airports are establishing Uttar Pradesh as a major investment and development hub in the country.

Chief Minister said that from childhood to today, every Indian has seen and experienced the journey and fulfillment of people’s needs through Tata buses and other heavy vehicles. Whether it’s delivering goods to the last mile or meeting everyday needs, Tata has always stood for trust. This is why the Tata Group has become a symbol of unwavering confidence in the country. “Tata means trust” is not just a concept, but an experience for millions of people.

Chief Minister said that, supported by optimal infrastructure, safety, and facilities, the Tata Motors Lucknow plant has continuously evolved over 34 years, becoming an excellent example of innovation, investment, and technological advancement. Its expansion from diesel to CNG, and now to electric vehicles and defense trucks, demonstrates the transformation to meet future needs. Modern technologies like the 1 millionth bus and its 200-kilometer range are promoting environmentally friendly transportation. With over 5,600 employees, the plant has become a major hub for employment and skill development, providing opportunities to youth under the “Lakshya” program. Established as a vision of Ratan Tata, the plant has now become the livelihood base for approximately 6,000 families and has provided employment to millions of people.

Following the flag-off Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also rode the Tata Motors bus launched on Wednesday. He toured the entire plant and learned about the various technologies used in production.

Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, MD and CEO Girish Wagh, and Tata Motors Vice President Operations Vishal Badshah were present on the occasion.
