Three Sanskrit ‘Deemed’ Universities to be merged, bill introduced in lower house

New Delhi, 11 December: On Wednesday, a bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha for the establishment of Central Sanskrit University in the country. Through the Bill, the Central University will be established by merging three currently Sanskrit deemed universities in the country.

Presenting the bill, Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal โ€˜Nishankโ€™ said that through the Bill, the university will be established by uniting the National Sanskrit Sansthan, Lal Bahadur Shastri Sanskrit Vidyapeetha and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha.
