There is no shortfall of doctors and medicines in CGHS, informs Harsh Vardhan in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, March 13: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan has said that there is no shortage of doctors and medicines in the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) and this health facility is available in 72 cities of the country.

In response to a question asked in the Lok Sabha on Friday, Harsh Vardhan said that a lot of reforms have been done in CGHS in the last five years and still the government is trying to improve it further. He said that a lot of suggestions have been sought from various stakeholders for more better facilities in CGHS and a committee has studied them and given some recommendations.

The Union Minister said that CGHS is available in 72 cities of the country.
