New Delhi, 27 January: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the BJP government at the Center wants to topple his state government.

Kejriwal tweeted on Saturday that, โ€œThese people are not going to arrest me for any scam, but are conspiring to topple the AAP government in Delhi. They have contacted our seven MLAs and said that after a few days they will arrest Kejriwal and topple the AAP government.

They have lured our MLAs with Rs 25 crore each and to contest elections on BJP ticket, but all our MLAs have flatly refused. CM said that in the last 9 years, they have made many conspiracies to topple our government, but have failed every time. All our MLAs are standing with us with full strength. This time too these people will fail in their nefarious intentions.โ€

On the other hand, Atishi, senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party and cabinet minister in Delhi government, also attacked BJP over Operation Lotus in a press conference at the party headquarters. He said that BJP is trying to topple the elected government of Aam Aadmi Party. In the last few days, BJP has contacted 7 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party and said that we are going to arrest Arvind Kejriwal, after that we will break the MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party one by one and now we are going to arrest Aam Aadmi Party. He is in touch with 21 MLAs and will topple the elected government of Delhi through those 21 MLAs. BJP offered Rs 25 crore each to these 7 MLAs to leave the common man and join BJP.

He said that BJP is not doing this Operation Lotus for the first time. Operation Lotus is the way of BJP that in those states where their government is not formed, they try to topple the elected governments by giving money, intimidation and getting CBI-ED cases filed. This Operation Lotus of BJP has been run in many states. In this, they have toppled the elected governments in many states including Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and not just once, but in some states several times by buying MLAs and threatening them. Have dropped.

Atishi further said that before this BJP had tried to conduct Operation Lotus twice in Delhi. Even in 2013, when 28 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs were elected, BJP tried hard to buy AAP MLAs. Then Aam Aadmi Party had put forward the sting of BJP Vice President Sher Singh Dagar in front of the whole country as to how he was trying to buy Aam Aadmi Party MLAs. After this, in 2022, BJP tried to buy the ‘AAP’ MLAs of Delhi by paying Rs 20 crore each through Operation Lotus. But both times BJP’s Operation Lotus failed, because Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are not afraid of BJP’s threats and do not fall prey to their greed.

Atishi said that this time BJP has started Operation Lotus 2.4. In which their intention is to get Arvind Kejriwal arrested by ED on false charges of this so-called liquor scam. After this, they will try to topple the elected government of Delhi by intimidating the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and buying them with money and will form the BJP government in Delhi.
