The Pune police deny to give papers regarding Bhima Koregaon violence case to NIA team

Mumbai, January, 27: The Pune police have refused to render the papers related to the Bhima Koregaon violence case to the three-member team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday.

According to the information, this team is headed by a senior officer named Vikram. The team also discussed with Pune Police Commissioner V. Venkatesham and Superintendent of Police Shivaji Pawar related to the case. The NIA team also asked for papers related to the case but the Pune police refused to give the papers.

On this,The Pune police said that the Pune police are not going to give any papers to the NIA until the order of the police Chief in this case is received. According to the information, the NIA team has returned to Mumbai from Pune.

A three-member team of the National Research Institute (NIA) has started an investigation into the Bhima Koregaon violence case. The three officers of the team met the Pune Police Commissioner on Monday and inquired about the matter.

It is worth mentioning that on January 25, the Central Government has handed over the investigation of Bhima Koregaon and Elgar case to the NIA. However, the state government has expressed displeasure to this action of the central government. Therefore, the conflict between the Center and the state government has intensified on this matter.
