New Delhi, 24 November: Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again thanked the countrymen for accepting the Supreme Court verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi, saying that 130 crore Indians again proved that there is nothing more than the countryโ€™s interest. He said that when the decision came on the Ram temple, the entire nation embraced it openly as well accepted with full ease and peace.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the 59th edition of Mann Ki Baat program broadcast on All India Radio (AIR- is the national public radio broadcaster of India and is a division of Prasar Bharati) on Sunday that after a long time the legal battle has come to a halt. On the other hand, the country’s respect for the judiciary has increased also. In fact, this decision has proved to be a milestone for our judiciary too.

He said that in the last ‘Mann Ki Baat’ we had discussed about the Allahabad High Court’s decision in the Ayodhya case in 2010, how the country had maintained peace and brotherhood at that time. This time also when the decision of the Supreme Court came on November 9, 130 crore Indians again proved that there is nothing more than national interest for them. In the country, the values โ€‹โ€‹of peace, unity and goodwill are paramount.

He said that when the decision came on the Ram temple, the country accepted it with full ease and peace. The kind of patience, restraint and maturity that the countrymen have shown is commendable.

Modi said that after this historic decision of the Supreme Court, now the country has started on new path with new hopes and new aspirations, with new intentions. New India should adopt this spirit and move forward with peace, unity and goodwill, this is my wish, we all wish.

Modi said in Mann Ki Baat here today that National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the name of the exciting journey of leadership, patriotism, selfless service and making everyone a part of its character.
