Fort is won but lion is no more

In the film ‘Tanaji – The Unsung Warrior’, Tanaji fought the battle of  Sinhagad in the year 1670 AD. Tanaji played an important role in this battle and he acquired this fort in a fierce battle with the Mughals headed by the Udaybhan Singh Rathore, who had control of the fort. In this war, he received valor. When Chhatrapati Shivaji got information about his heroism, he said that ‘Garh Ala Pan Singh Galla’ means that Garh won but Singh did not live.
