Saket Court rejects bail plea of Mohammad Haneef, an accused in Jamia violence case

New Delhi, December 18: The Saket Court of Delhi has rejected the bail plea of โ€‹โ€‹Mohammad Haneef, arrested accused in the Jamia violence case. Metropolitan Magistrate Rajat Goel said that there is a possibility that if Haneef is granted bail, he may rejoin such activities.

Police opposed Haneef’s bail plea by stating that he is accused of pelting stones at Policemen  and blowing police posts.On December 17, the Saket court sent ten accused arrested in the Jamia violence case to 14 days judicial custody.

Two petitions have been filed in the Delhi High Court demanding an inquiry into the Jamia violence. The High Court will hear both of them on December 19. The High Court will also hear the plea seeking the release of the arrested students on December 19.
