Lucknow, June 15: Seven Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) who left the Mayawatiโ€™s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) met Akhilesh Yadav at the SP headquarters in Lucknow on Tuesday.

However, after coming out of the SP headquarters, the seven MLAs while talking about forming a new political party avoided answering any questions regarding meeting with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Meanwhile, on behalf of the sacked MLAs from BSP, Aslam Rainee said that in the changed scenario, it is the opinion of all the MLAs that the political beginning should be started by forming a new party.

Mujtaba Siddiqui, the second MLA expelled from BSP, said that he had a formal meeting with Akhilesh Yadav. There was no talk on any kind of election ticket during this period and coordination is being made among all the expelled MLAs to form a new party.

Senior BSP leader Lalji Verma told that Aslam Rainee, one of the MLAs who went to meet Akhilesh Yadav, is not his lawyer. He will take any decision after asking the people of his area.

He said that the decision of BSP’s national president Matawati is still awaited. He wants him and Ram Achal Rajbhar to be taken back in the co-respect party.

At the same time, leaders of other parties also reached the headquarters of Samajwadi Party today and they met party president Akhilesh Yadav and discussed the strategy for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
