Rising of Covid: Lucknow records highest daily count of cases since the outbreak of pandemic

Lucknow, 10 April: Even after the implementation of night-curfew in many cities including the capital Lucknow by the Yogi government, the coronavirus infection in Uttar Pradesh is setting new records each day. In the last 24 hours, 12,787 new infected have been found across the state, which is the record of the most infected since the outbreak of the pandemic. Lucknow has the highest number of 4,059 of these cases.

State Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that after the capital Lucknow recorded maximum number of Covid cases in the twenty four hours, Prayagraj has received 1460 new cases in the last 24 hours.

“Similarly, 983 fresh cases in Varanasi, 706 in Kanpur Nagar, 422 in Gorakhpur, 236 in Meerut, 235 in Jhansi, 221 in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), 221 in Ballia, 186 in Jaunpur, 161 in Muzaffarnagar, 159 in Ghaziabad, 144 in Bareilly, 140 in Ghazipur, 139 in Barabanki, 127 in Rae Bareli and 123 in Mathura have surfaced in the twenty four hours,” he informed.

Prasad said that 48 people have died due to corona in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours out of which the highest number of 23 people has died in Lucknow.

He informed that at present there are 58,801 active cases across the state. At the same time, the number of people discharged from the hospital after getting cured in the last 24 hours is being told only 2207.

Meanwhile, the second wave of coronavirus in UP has turned extremely frightening. For the last one week, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is himself monitoring corona situation due to the continuous rise in the cases.

On Friday, Yogi held a meeting with officials over the situation and control of the corona in Prayagraj and Varanasi and CM Yogi is in Gorakhpur on Saturday to take stock of Covid situation.

Not only this, Many ministers of the state are also being sent to the districts. Still there is no positive result.

Meanwhile, on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi has decided to celebrate the ‘Tika Utsav’ (Vaccination festival) from April 11 to 14 across the state. Preparations are underway across the state to conduct it like a special drive.

During the proposed vaccination festival, Chief Minister Yogi will consult leaders of various political parties in the presence of Governor Anandiben Patel, Mayor and Councilors of Municipal Corporations and religious leaders regarding Covid-19 vaccination in the state and prevention of corona.

Apart from this, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the state government has reserved 300 beds for Covid patients in Balrampur Hospital, Lucknow. Era Medical College and TS Mishra Medical College have also been made Covid Hospital in Lucknow.
