83 Covid hospitals with 17235 beds fully functional in 75 districts of UP

Lucknow, 10 April: In view of the rising of the coronavirus infection across Uttar Pradesh, the state government has decided to activate 83 Covid hospitals in all 75 districts of the state. All these hospitals are in L-3 and L-2 category.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department of the state, Amit Mohan Prasad told here on Saturday that 83 Covid hospitals have been operated in all 75 districts of the state. These hospitals have a total of 17235 beds, including ventilators and oxygen-rich beds.

Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad further said that in addition to these 83 hospitals, other hospitals in the districts have also been notified as Covid Hospitals to provide Covid Medical facility to the general public.

Significantly, the state government has become serious about the increasing infection of Corona in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is visiting the districts and inspecting the hospitals.

On Friday, Yogi visited Prayagraj and Varanasi to review Covid-19 and inspect Covid-19’s hospitals. Today he stayed in Gorakhpur.

Apart from this, the Medical Education Minister of the state is inspecting the districts of Meerut, Gonda, Ghaziabad and Saharanpur.

At the same time, the Health Minister inspected the corona infection in Jhansi, Bareilly and Agra districts. He informed that adequate arrangements have been made by the state government to prevent infection of Covid-19. Necessary guidelines are being given continuously by the state government after reviewing with the district administration to fight Covid-19.
