‘Ramayana Conclave’ to be held in 16 cities of Uttar Pradesh from July

Lucknow, June 30: The Yogi government will organize ‘Ramayana Conclave’ in 16 cities of Uttar Pradesh from July. This festival series has been named ‘Jana-Jana Mein Ram’. The festival series will start from Ramnagari Ayodhya and end in the capital Lucknow.

State Tourism, Culture and Charitable Affairs Minister Neelkanth Tiwari on Wednesday reviewed the preparations made so far in relation to the Ramayana Conclave. Along with this, the plan of the event was also decided.

The minister said that under this important scheme of the tourism department, two-day festivals will be organized in every city.

He said that this festival series has been named as ‘Jan-Jana Mein Ram’ in which apart from organizing locally, there will also be a system of online broadcast. More than two and a half thousand scholars, artists, cultural workers will participate in this festival.

In the review meeting, Tiwari said that the ‘Jan-Jan Mein Ram’ Ramayana Conclave, which is starting in 16 cities of the state from July, will continue till August. These 16 cities include Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Shringverpur (Prayagraj), Bithoor (Kanpur), Mathura, Bareilly, Meerut, Lalitpur, Saharanpur, Ballia, Bijnor, Garhmukteshwar, Ghaziabad and Lucknow.

The Culture Minister said that the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate this grand event in Ayodhya. At the same time, the finale of the festival series will be in Lucknow.

“It was decided in the meeting that on each day of the two-day event in each city, large seminars and discussions based on the life philosophy of Lord Shri Ram and cultural programs based on various events of Lord Shri Ram’s life would be organized in the evening,” he said.  

The minister further stated that in the seminar, scholars and knowledgeable people about the life-philosophy of Lord Shri Ram from the country and abroad will be invited, while under cultural programs, along with ‘Ramlila’, various dramas based on the life of Shri Ram, nautanki, puppetry, singing, playing, dance, folk music and various including poet conferences. There will be programs.

“Along with this, on the occasion of the festival in those cities, an exhibition of painting, sculpture based on the life philosophy of Lord Shri Ram will be organized and various competitions will be organized for the children with the aim of generating interest in the life philosophy of Lord Shri Ram,” Tiwari added.

In the meeting, the minister said that in the seminar and discussion, Ram in the people, Ram in the people, social harmony in the story of Rama, brotherhood in the story of Rama, patriotism in the story of Rama, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in the story of Rama, democracy in the story of Shabari, Rama in Sanskrit Vangmay. , Ramakatha in Sage Tradition, Ramayana and Science, Sakhabhakti and Ramakatha, Rama’s Shiva-Shiva’s Rama, Rambhakt Hanuman, Rama in Root-consciousness, Ramlila’s contribution to Indian culture, Ram Vanagaman, Rama and Aastha, Ram in folk songs, Woman Various sessions will be organized including Samman and Ram Katha, Ram of Tulsi, Ram of Valmiki, Vision of Ram Rajya, Loknayak Ram.

In these, scholars working on the life and philosophy of Shri Ram, as well as Vice Chancellors of various universities, subject experts will be invited. Along with this, regional folk artists will be presented in cultural programs and local artists will be given prominence in the exhibitions.

Tiwari instructed in the meeting that the detailed outline of the event should be decided soon and arrangements should be made to give the grandest form of the event by announcing the dates according to the cities.

He said that strict adherence to the guidelines of Covid-19 should also be ensured in all the events.

In the meeting, Principal Secretary, Culture and Tourism Department Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Special Secretary, Culture Department Anand Kumar, Academy’s producer Tarun Raj, Regional Tourism Officer Kirti and many officials were present.
