Prez Kovind, VP Naidu and PM Modi greet the countrymen on Janmashtami

New Delhi, 30th August: The festival of birth anniversary of Lord Krishna is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

On Monday, President Kovind tweeted, “Warm greetings to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. This festival is an opportunity to learn about the life story of Lord Krishna and dedicate oneself to his messages. I wish that this festival brings happiness, health and prosperity in everyone’s life.

Vice President Naidu tweeted, “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. In Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, the eternal message of Lord Krishna to act with selfless devotion has been an inspiration to the entire humanity. On this holy day, let us all take a pledge to discharge our duties with full devotion and walk on the path of truth. May this festival of Janmashtami bring peace, harmony and prosperity to our country.”

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and said, “Many wishes to all of you on Janmashtami. Long live Shri Krishna.”
