Positive effects of corona curfew as Uttar Pradesh sees big drop in cases

Lucknow, 16 May: Partial corona curfew has started showing its effect across Uttar Pradesh. There is a continuous decline in Covid-19 cases in the state. In the last 24 hours, 10,682 fresh corona cases have been found across the state. At the same time, 311 patients have succumbed to Covid-19.

On Sunday, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad informed that 24,837 patients have been discharged after getting cured in the last 24 hours. At the same time, there have been 17,546 deaths till now from deadly coronavirus.

β€œSo far, 267420 swab samples have been tested across the state in the last 24 hours. From the districts, 111208 samples have been sent for testing,” ACS Health told.  

He informed that the percentage of recovery from Covid-19 in the state has been 88.92. A total of 4, 46, 95,189 samples have been investigated so far. So far, 14, 39,096 people have been cured.

Prasad informed that vaccination of people aged 18 to 44 years, as well as those above 45 years of age, is underway. So far, 1, 16, 80, 212 people have been given the first dose of vaccine out of the first dose, 32, 66, 076 people were given the second shot of vaccine.

He told that in the last 24 hours, 48340 people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated. So far, 4, 14,329 people have taken the first dose in this age group.

He appealed that those who have got the first dose of vaccine, they should also get the second dose of vaccine when their turn come.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is touring the districts continuously. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called CM Yogi to know about Covid management in the state.
