Poor progress in Jhansi Smart City work upsets CM Yogi, warns officials

Jhansi, 10 March: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting of the divisional development works till late Tuesday night.

He instructed the officers to take immediate action in public interest related cases sent by public representatives. The government has a clear policy that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, every Sunday, the Chief Minister Arogya Mela is being organized at PHC, in which benefits of Ayushman card and other schemes are being given on priority.

β€œAt the same time, the work of Covid vaccination is going on in which the representative of the people should take interest in it and sit at the centers and communicate with the general public. The teamwork during the outbreak of global pandemic coronavirus has yielded good results which are being appreciated across the country. Now again the work remains challenging, it gives an opportunity to do human service,” Yogi added.

On the excessive increase of electricity bills by various public representatives of the Energy Department, the Chief Minister directed the Managing Director that the general public should be benefited by setting up special camps for the problem of overbilling.

Reviewing the schemes related to Jal Jeevan Mission, he said that for this, responsibility should be given to the officer of SDM level for supervision. Ensure arrangements for drinking water in advance for the coming summer. Instructions should be given to expedite the works if there is no expected progress in the works of the smart city.

In relation to making a proposal for safe city for Jhansi, Yogi advised that due to the installation of large number of CCTVs, it is very easy to stop crime and catch the culprit. Pay utmost attention to cleanliness; make door to door waste collection a priority.

Crime against women is not tolerated at any cost

The Chief Minister directed to ensure strict action against various types of mafia in Bundelkhand. He directed all the District Magistrates, SSPs that crimes against women should not be tolerated at all, it should be reviewed regularly.

He said that effective action should be taken immediately in the event of any kind of laxity in it. Effective action should be jointly taken by the police administration and the Excise Department regarding the sale of illicit liquor.

He further said that the disposal of complaints received on IGRS, CM Helpline should be quality based. Regarding activating Urban Haat by public representatives said that just like the Awadh Shilphat of Lucknow is being operated, in the same way; to organize it every month, motivate the general public by organizing a haat of other products including ODOP.

The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to increase the registration of GST.

He ordered to train the youth in the Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana through ITI so that the means of employment can be made available to them.

Gym will open at Nyaya Panchayat level

Reviewing the pension schemes, the Chief Minister directed to set up camps and provide benefits to the eligible people. He gave instructions to finalize the work while reviewing the distribution of household under heritage, ownership scheme.

He said that under the operation rejuvenation, basic requirements including toilet, drinking water should be available in the schools. Regarding opening of open gym at Nyaya Panchayat level, it will bring health awareness among the youth. Under the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor Scheme, benefits should be provided to the eligible people so that illegal encroachment does not happen. Free coaching is being given in the Abhyudaya Yojana, due to which the youth are coming forward.

PWD Chief Engineer warning for improvement in functioning

The Chief Minister instructed the officers regarding the problem of farmers to make a habit of giving timely decisions so that farmers do not have problems. In the meeting, on being informed by public representatives by the public representatives, the concerned officials gave instructions to ensure effective action.

On receiving the complaint of unnecessary delay in connection with construction of a road in Lalitpur district, the Chief Minister instructed the PWD Chief Engineer to start the work in 15 days if the work is not done in time.
