PM Modi praises India’s performance in QS World University Rankings

New Delhi, 23 April: Praising India’s leading performance among G-20 countries in the QS World University Rankings, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is encouraging to see. Earlier, QS University Rankings Chairman Nunzio Quacquarelli also praised India.

The Prime Minister said on social media platform X that this is encouraging to see. Our government is focusing on research, teaching and innovation on a large scale. This emphasis will deepen in the coming times, which will benefit our youth.

In a LinkedIn post, Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of QS University Rankings, shared some of the results of the latest QS World University Rankings by subject related to the Indian higher education system. The post notes that Indian universities showed the highest performance improvement among all G-20 countries this year, with their average ranking improving by a significant 14 percent (year-on-year).

Praising Prime Minister Modi, Quacquarelli said India’s progress on the global stage has undoubtedly been helped by visionary policies like the National Education Policy 2020 led by Prime Minister Modi. Quacquarelli said he had met Prime Minister Modi to discuss global higher education trends.
