Over 2.5 lakh pilgrims reach Uttarakhand for ‘Char Dham Yatra’, 15 died due to bad weather, health reasons

Dehradun, 1 May: Even after the rains in the state, the order of pilgrims going towards Chardham continues. So far more than 2.5 lakh pilgrims have reached Uttarakhand.

According to the information of the State Emergency Operation Center Secretariat Council, so far 2,58,863 passengers have traveled in Uttarakhand while 11,487 passengers had reached Badrinath, 14,273 in Kedarnath, 7,408 in Gangotri and 5,957 in Yamunotri on Monday.

In Dehradun, three motorways are blocked due to rain while all routes to Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi Haridwar are open. Even though the travel routes are open, but due to rain, the problems of passengers may increase. So far 15 passengers have lost their lives due to weather, health and other reasons. Among them, one has lost his life in Badrinath, five in Kedarnath, four in Gangotri, five in Yamunotri.
