Over 17,000 vaccinated against Covid-19 in 6 states on second day

New Delhi, 17 January: So far, 17072 people have been vaccinated in 6 states on Sunday, the second day of corona vaccination.

The Health Ministry gave this information on Sunday, the second day of the Corona vaccination campaign. Vaccination programs were held at a total of 553 vaccination centers in six states. So far 2, 24,301 people have been vaccinated on Saturday and Sunday.

Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Manohar Agnani said that all the states were requested to schedule a vaccination program 4 days a week. States have also campaigned about this. On Sunday, the vaccination program took place in only 6 states.

The Health Ministry said that a 4-day vaccination drive is taking place in most states. Some are getting 5 days and some even 2 to 3 days. The vaccination program took place in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur and Tamil Nadu on Sunday.

Health Ministry officials said that a total of 447 cases of post-vaccination problems (AEFI) were reported in two days. Only 3 of these people had to be admitted to the hospital. One of the 3 people admitted to Northern Railway Hospital has been discharged. One person admitted to AIIMS Delhi has been discharged. One who was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh is still admitted. But most of the incidents are cases of fever, headache and nausea.

Vaccines to be given in four days in Delhi

A four-day vaccination campaign will be conducted in Delhi. Vaccines will be administered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Vaccination campaign will resume in Maharashtra from Tuesday. Vaccination program has been stopped for two days due to problems with the Cowin app. However, all states and union territories of the country have been asked to carry out vaccination campaign four days a week.
