Over 10K people throng Lucknow zoo on December 31, more expected on Jan 1, informs Director

Lucknow, 31 December: Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park will be open for visitors on Monday on the occasion of New Year-2024.

Keeping in view the possibility of more number of visitors coming this year as compared to last year, all the arrangements have been made in the zoo.

Director Aditi Sharma, while wishing a happy new year to all the visitors coming to the zoological park, said that all of you are welcome to the zoological garden.

She said that in the month of December, the zoo visitors and especially the school students participated very actively. Despite extreme cold, 10221 visitors visited the zoo on 31 December, which is about 1800 more than last year.

The director said that like every year on the occasion of New Year on January 1, this time also a large number of spectators are expected. To ensure that the visitors do not face any kind of inconvenience, she roamed around the zoological park on Sunday and inspected the cleanliness of the toilets as well as the cleanliness of the entire zoological park. Arrangements like potable water, security guards at wildlife enclosures, announcement system etc. were made tight for the visitors coming to the zoo.

She said that there will be separate counters at both the entrances for spectators booking tickets online. From here he could get the wristband without standing in line. There will be police arrangements for the safety of spectators and traffic police to control traffic. The zoological park administration tries to ensure that the visitors do not face any kind of inconvenience.
