New Delhi, March 25: Both houses of the Parliament were adjourned until Thursday after a day’s proceedings on Wednesday. Parliament will be recessed on Thursday due to the Ram Navami holiday. The scheduled sittings on March 28 and 29 have also been cancelled. Earlier, due to the holidays, it was decided to convene the House on Saturday and Sunday as well, apprised the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
Rijiju stated that this decision was taken keeping in mind the “ongoing situation.” He further stated that Parliament will be recessed on Thursday, March 26, due to Ram Navami.
The Rajya Sabha is likely to discuss the Finance Bill, 2026, on Friday, March 27. This bill has already been passed by the Lok Sabha. The Rajya Sabha will focus on financial matters. Non-government business scheduled for Friday has also been postponed to prioritize government work.
