Patna, 12 February: Nitish government passed the floor test in Bihar Assembly on Monday. The opposition had staged a walkout even before the voting. Voting was conducted on the demand of the ruling party. 129 votes were cast in support of this. Not a single vote was cast in opposition.

The opposition boycotted the House before voting on the trust vote of Nitish Kumar’s government. After this, on the request of CM Nitish, Vice President Maheshwar Hazari asked the MLAs in favor to stand and got them counted. 129 votes were cast in support of the government. At the time of removing the Speaker, only 125 votes were cast in favor of the government. During the voting on the trust vote, four more votes increased in favor of the government.

Before this debate, during the debate on the trust vote motion moved by Nitish Kumar in the Bihar Assembly, while addressing the House, he said that he proposed a trust vote in the House, on which the leaders of various parties have given their views. I thank all those who have expressed their views.

Nitish Kumar said that when RJD was given the education ministry, they started making mistakes. These people started earning money and when I came to know about this, they separated. Now we will get everything investigated.

It is noteworthy that earlier also in favor of the no-confidence motion brought against the Speaker, 125 MLAs had voted in favor of Nitish Kumar and 112 in opposition.
