Bareilly, 7 Dec: As Nukush Fatima of Prayagraj prepared for her wedding on Wednesday, she was concerned about the nearly non-existent road in front of her house. But her last-ditch attempt paid out, and she is now overjoyed because Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in response to her Twitter appeal, got the road completed in a day.

“There has been no roadwork in my neighbourhood for the previous 15 years,” Fatima tweeted, tagging the chief minister. Honourable Chief Minister, you are graciously invited to my wedding on December 7. Please have the road in my neighbourhood constructed so that you and my visitors will not be inconvenienced when visiting,” she tweeted.

“On the chief minister’s orders, the municipal corporation cleared the land and built the road in a day two days ago,” her uncle Jamal Afsal stated. The road in the Abubakarpur neighbourhood of Dhumanganj, Prayagraj, was created in 2002. The road was in disrepair after some repairs were made 15 years ago, according to her uncle. There is no such department that was not approached for the road’s development, but none showed any interest, he added. But her post and the chief minister’s response changed everything, he added, describing it as a “gift.”
