Massive turnout in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Varanasi today

Varanasi: Massive turnout in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow which started around 5.30 pm from Banaras Hindu University [BHU] on Thursday evening, a day before filing his nomination paper. Before kicking off his blockbuster road show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi garlanded the statue of the Bharat Ratna Madan Mohan Malviya, founder of the BHU and then acknowledged the greetings of the huge crowd with folded hands.

 Several National Democratic Alliance [NDA] leaders like Shiv Sena chief Udhav Thackeray, JD [U] chief Nitish Kumar, LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan are present with senior BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adiyanath in the massive road show of Modi as a mark of show of strenth of NDA.

Around six lakh people are expected to join the roadshow today. The lenth of the road show is six kilometres which will culminate at Dashashwamedh Ghat where Modi will perform world famous Ganga Arati around 8 pm.

Meanwhile, an excitement can be seen among the huge crowd gathered at the mega road show of the Modi. Large number of people can be witnessed wearing saffron colour turban and jackets.  

Prime Minister before leaving for Varanasi, tweeted about his trip that after addressing rallies in Darbhanga and Banda, he was heading to his “beloved Kashi.” He tweeted, “After bumper rallies in Darbhanga and Banda, I am heading to beloved Kashi. There are series of programmes lined up, which would give another excellent opportunity to interact with my sisters and brothers of Kashi. Har Har Mahadev!”
