Modi on the State visit: Uttarakhand’s special rice gift to the POTUS, and many more

Dehradun, 22 June: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his meeting with the US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden, honoured the state by gifting them rice from Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for presenting long rice produced in Uttarakhand as a donation to US President Biden, terming it a proud moment on the part of every Uttarakhand resident to place Uttarakhand and its identity on the international platform.

A special gift box containing ten donations: Gaudan (Donation of Cow), Bhoodan (Donation of Land), Tildan (Donation of Sesame Seeds), and a 24K Pure and Hallmarked Gold Coin Handmade in Rajasthan Hiranyadan (Gold Donation), Raupyadan (donation of silver), Lavandan (donation of salt), Shree Ganesh idol, a diya (oil lamp), Ghee from Punjab, Tasar silk cloth from Jharkhand, Long grain rice from Uttarakhand, and Jaggery from Maharashtra, along with this, Prime Minister Modi has given a 7.5-carat green diamond as a gift to America’s First Lady, Jill Biden.
