Mastermind of Kanpur carnage Vikas Dubey arrested from Ujjain temple

Ujjain / Bhopal/ Uttar Pradesh 09 July: Gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused of killing of eight policemen including a CO in Bikru village of Kanpur on July 3, has been arrested from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has confirmed the arrest of Vikas Dubey.

According to the Ujjain police, Dubey reached Ujjain to pay obeisance to Mahakal temple.

Vikas Dubey is the main accused in Knapur carnage and a bounty of five lakh rupees was declared on him by the Uttar Pradesh police.

Meanwhile, two main points are coming up about Vikas Dubey after he was being caught. Firstly, his purpose to come to the city of Mahakal was to surrender and secondly he was identified by the security guard of Mahakal temple and, he informed the police.

Vikas Dubey arrived in the morning at 7:45 am to visit Mahakal temple with some of his accomplice. He entered into the temple with a ticket of Rs 250, when a security personnel deployed at Mahakal temple suspected him to be a Vikas Dubey, he presently informed the police.

After receiving the information, the Ujjain police arrested Dubey and later took him the police station. After that, Ujjain Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Singh has brought Dubey to the police control room.

Though, information is also coming out that it is being told that Vikas Dubey has surrendered himself to the Ujjain police to avoid the encounter.

Accused Vikas Dubey himself went to Mahakal police post and said that I am most-wanted Vikas Dubey, arrest me.

CM Shivraj discussed the development with UP Chief Minister Yogi over phone

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has discussed the matter of Vikas Dubey’s arrest from Ujjain with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over phone. Madhya Pradesh Police will hand over Vikas Dubey to UP Police.
