New Delhi, December 29: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again appealed to the countrymen to buy indigenous products and said that we should be determined to buy local products at least by 2022 for the 75th freedom struggle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing his last โ€˜Mann Ki Baatโ€™ program of 2019 said that this work of motivating the people to buy local products should be done not by the government but by the youth of the country by forming small groups and organizations.

He said that the smell of sweat of the countrymen, which should be the happy moment of my free India, let us go with these dreams. He said that on August 15 from the Red Fort, he had urged the countrymen to buy local produce. Hence, today once again Modi recommended  that we should encourage locally made products, add them to your reputation and pride by prioritizing them in your shopping. With this spirit we can make our countrymen prosper.

The PM also commended the local police for encouraging poor women of Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh by purchasing chappals made by them.

Modi said, โ€œ The liveliness of some women of Phulpur to recover from the financial crisis is inspiring the entire region today. These women learned the skill of making slippers with the help of self help group of Kadipur and became self-reliant and became the support of their family. With the help of Rural Livelihood Mission, now a sandal making plant has also been established, where modern machines made slippers.โ€

The Prime Minister said that the local police played an important role in encouraging them by purchasing slippers made by these women for themselves and their families. Today, not only the economic condition of their families has been strengthened by the resolve of these women, but also, the standard of living has also risen.

Modi said that Mahatma Gandhi saw this sense of Swadeshi as a lamp that illuminates the lives of millions. Bring prosperity in the life of the poorest of the poor. A hundred years ago, Gandhi started a big mass movement. One of its aims was to promote Indian products. Gandhi ji showed this way to become self-reliant.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the young generation of the country and said that the youth want to do something new every day. The youth of the country likes the right system and strongly opposes those who do not follow it. The new generation hates anarchy, chaos, casteism and nepotism.

Prime Minister Modi gave this idea in the last ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program of this year. He said that three days later we will enter the third decade of the 21st century. He wished the countrymen in advance of the new year and said that one thing is certain about this decade that in this, youth born in the 21st century will play an active role in accelerating the development of the country. He said that such youth are today identified with the words Millennial, Generation Z and Social Media Generation etc.

He said that the youth of our country likes the right system. If the system never works properly, then they also become restless and even question the system with courage. Modi said that he considered it good. He said that when someone enters the queue of an airport or a cinema hall, the first voice is raised by the youth. The youth also make videos of such incidents and they go viral on seeing them. In such a situation, the wrongdoer feels that he has done wrong.

Referring to the statement of Swami Vivekananda, the Prime Minister said that the value of youth can neither be judged nor described. This is the most valuable period of life. Your future and your life depends on how you use your youth. On January 12, he called upon the youth group to take a resolution by thinking about their duty towards the country for Vivekananda Jayanti.

The Prime Minister said that the rock memorial that Swami Vivekananda had interred in Kanyakumari is being completed for fifty years. He said that Kanyakumari has become a center of attraction for the country and the world. For everyone who wants to experience a spiritual consciousness filled with patriotism, it remains a pilgrimage area, a center of reverence. Swami’s memorial has inspired people of every creed, every age, class to have patriotism. The service of ‘Daridra Narayan’, has shown the way to live this mantra. Whoever went there, there should be the communication of power in him, awaken the sense of positiveness, the feeling of doing something for the country – it is very natural.

He said that President Ram Nath Kovind had also visited Rock Memorial in the past and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu attended Uttamrotsavotsha in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. In such a situation, all of you should also visit such important tourist places in India.
