Maharashtra: Three doctors screening in ‘Dharavi’ test positive for coronavirus

Mumbai, 28 April: Three doctors who were assigned the task of thermal screening of potential coronavirus patients in Asia’s largest slum โ€˜Dharaviโ€™ in Mumbai were tested positive for novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease on Tuesday.

President of Maharashtra Medical Council Shivkumar Utture said that all three have been quarantined.

Uture told that thermal screening of potential corona patients was done from April 10 to April 17 in Dharavi.

In this 83 doctors screened more than 40 thousand people. Corona test report of 3 of these doctors came positive on Tuesday. So these three doctors have been quarantined.

The number of corona infected persons in Dharavi has crossed 300 and so far 14 corona patients have died here. Corona patients continue to be treated in 8 containment zones.
