Maharashtra: Government will take big decision regarding Covid lockdown across state within 2 days: Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, 11 March: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday received Bharat Biotech anti-coronavirus vaccine Covaxin at J.J hospital in Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that in view of the rising of number of Covid-19 cases again across the state, he would take tough decisions regarding the imposing of Covid-19 lockdown in the next two days.

After getting the vaccine, the Chief Minister said that the coronavirus anti-vaccine is being made available to all people. People of the state should get anti-Corona virus vaccine with great zeal.

The Chief Minister said that the number of corona infected is increasing rapidly. Therefore, all people must strictly follow the Corona protocal. People leave their homes if it is essential and keep using masks, physical distances and sanitizers.

The Chief Minister said that he does not want to impose lockdown but this decision will have to be taken due to the spiking in number of Covid cases.

The Chief Minister indicated that a stringent lockdown would be imposed in the areas where the number of corona infected is increasing rapidly.

Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray said that if people do not want lockdown then people should strictly follow the Corona protocol.
