CM Yogi orders probe into mining proceedings in Banda district

Lucknow, 11 March: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed to investigate the mining proceedings in Banda district. He was reviewing the works of various departments at a high-level meeting at his government residence.

Reviewing the works of the Mining Department, Yogi said that it should be ensured that the entire royalty received from mining gets to the government. Mining should be done as per prescribed conditions.

He directed the Department of Mining and Home Affairs to send their teams to Banda to probe the proceedings of mining.

During this, the Chief Minister also directed to set up 200-bed hospitals from the district mineral fund in the districts of Hamirpur, Mahoba and Chitrakoot.

Yogi said that with the construction of these hospitals, good medical facilities will be available to the residents of these districts. He instructed the Energy Department to take fast action in the direction of installing smart prepaid meters.

Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna, Agriculture Production Commissioner Alok Sinha, Avnish Kumar Awasthi, Navneet Sehgal, S.P. Goyal, Amit Mohan Prasad, Manoj Kumar Singh, Shishir and other senior officials were present.
