Lucknow: 17 black fungus patients admitted in KGMU in 24 hours, two died

Lucknow, 06 June: Two patients died of black fungus or Mucormycosis on Sunday at King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in the Lucknow. The patients who died are residents of Hardoi and Unnao districts.

According to the KGMU spokesperson, 308 patients of black fungus have been admitted so far. This is not the number of patients currently admitted. The number of patients who have come here so far is 17 patients have been admitted in the last 24 hours.

β€œAt the same time, surgery has been done for 08 patients. Two patients have died a 55-year-old resident of Hardoi and a 59-year-old middle-aged male from Unnao district. Two patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours,” he added.
