Lockdown 5.O Day 17: The number of swab testing exceeded 16 thousand in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, June 17: In the wake of Corona infection in the state, continuous efforts are being made to increase the number of test of swab samples so that people can get quick and better treatment. In this sequence, the first daily number of checks in the state has crossed 16 thousand.

Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad said on Wednesday that a total of 16,159 swab samples were tested in various laboratories of the state on Tuesday, however, this is the highest ever test in a day. Earlier we have crossed the figure of 15,000 testing each day. It is now targeted to reach 20,000 by the end of this month.

Prasad said earlier, 13,966 samples were tested on Monday and 13,328 on Sunday. At the same time, the rate of recovery from coronavirus infection in the state is 60.85 percent.

In the last twenty four hours, 591 new cases of infection have come to light

He informed that the number of active cases of coronavirus in the state has now reached 5,477 in 75 districts.

โ€œAt the same time, 9,239 people have been sent home after recovering completely. In the last 24 hours, 591 new cases of infection have been reported. Apart from this, 465 people have died due to lethal virus in the state so far,โ€ added Prasad.

Testing of various samples through 1,446 pools

He said that a total of different samples were tested through 1,446 pools on Tuesday. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,373 pools. Of these 213 pools came positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 73 pools. Of these 16 pool reports came positive.

Officer told that earlier on Monday, a total of different samples were tested through 1,204 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,082 pools. 150 pools came positive among them. At the same time, ten samples per pool were tested through 122 pools. Of these, 15 pool reports came positive. A total of different samples were tested through 1,335 pools on Sunday. Of these, five samples per pool were tested through 1,237 pools. Of these 201 pools came positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 98 pools. Of these, 20 pool reports came positive.

84,948 people received call from control room regarding Aarogya Setu app

He informed that the alerts received by those who download the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state, are being sent to the respective districts. At the same time, people who have come in contact with infected persons are being informed through the control room. So far 84,948 people have been called.

โ€œSo far, 167 people are admitted to various dedicated Covid hospitals due to corona infection. 109 people have been sent home after being cured. At the same time, 3,119 people are in the Quarantine Centre (QC).

ASHA workers reach homes of 17, 05,783 migrant workers

Principal Secretary, Health informed that 17, 05,783 migrant workers have been visited by the ASHA workers so far. Out of these, symptoms of cold, caugh, fever, breathlessness etc. were found in 1,485 people. Swab samples were sent for their corona examination.

Health teams reach among 4.82 crore people

He informed that the health department teams are constantly reaching out and surveying people in different areas. So far 1, 26,020 teams have surveyed 4, 82, 71,852 people in 94, 63,756 households in a total of 18,458 areas, including 5,980 hotspots and 12,478 non-hotspot areas.

OPD starts in CHC and PHC but will remain closed in district hospital

Principal Secretary Health informed that now the government order (GO) has been issued to start OPD in hospitals with precautions in the state. Under this, it has been asked to open OPDs by taking all kinds of precautions in Primary Health Centre (PHC) and Community Health Centre (CHC). If a patient comes with a fever, it should be examined separately.

He told that though OPD will not be started in government district hospitals right now, because doing so will increase the crowd there. We are doing this in a phased manner.

Private doctors will also be able to see patients

OPD in the District Hospital will be considered if the situation is seen better in CHC and PHC. Currently, cases of surgeries, emergency services and TB, AIDS are being seen in district hospitals.

He told that in the same way private hospitals will now be able to open OPD with security. Private doctors can see a limited number of patients. They have to take care not to feel crowded and physically follow the distance. Sanitizer should be arranged and care should be taken.
